WASTE CONTROL AND ENERGY MANAGEMENT
Besides reducing the use of water and phytosanitary products, we are working on energy management and a responsible waste handling. We have put extra effort on renewing our machinery in order to improve in fuel efficiency. This has obviously led us to pay more attention to the use of farming tools, irrigation tapes and agrochemical containers, as well as to create detailed labelling systems for dangerous products. We also promote the awareness of farmers and other staff about recycling and how to implement it properly.
Due to our farming activity, we generate agrochemical effluents which may contaminate natural resources in the area. To avoid this, we have launched a biodegradation system called Phytobac.
